Eric Patterson, Ph.D.

Robertson School of Government – Regent University
Dr. Patterson is dean of the Robertson School of Government at Regent University. His research and teaching focus on religion and politics, ethics and international affairs, and just-war theory in the context of contemporary conflict. Prior to his arrival at Regent, Dr. Patterson served as associate director of the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace & World Affairs and visiting assistant professor in the Department of Government at Georgetown University. Patterson also served as a White House Fellow and Special Assistant to the Director of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management and has spent two stints in the State Department's Bureau of Political and Military Affairs. He received his doctorate in political science from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and an MSc in Economics from the University of Wales in the U.K.
